Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 registration with late fee will end today, October 13. Candidates who are willing to appear for GATE 2026 and have not applied yet for the entrance exam can fill the GATE exam form 2026 on the official website – gate2026.iitg.ac.in.

Female and Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs 1,500 (including late fee) while all the other candidates will have to pay Rs 2,500 to complete their registration.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will conduct the GATE 2026 exam for 30 papers on February 7, 8, 14 and 15 in the computer-based test (CBT) mode.

How to fill GATE exam form 2026?

The steps to register for GATE exam 2026 are as follows:

  • Visit the GATE official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in
  • Complete the GATE registration with required details.
  • Fill GATE 2025 application form with personal and academic details.
  • Upload scanned images of requisite documents as per the specification.
  • Pay GATE registration fee 2025 in online mode.
  • Preview filled application form of GATE 2025.
  • Submit the GATE registration form 2025 and take a printout for future reference.

Here's the list of documents required for GATE form 2026:

  • Image of the candidate’s photograph
  • Image of the candidate’s signature
  • Scanned copy of valid photo Identity Document (ID)
  • Scanned copy of the category (SC or ST) certificate, if applicable, in PDF format
  • Scanned copy of UDID (preferred) or PwD certificate, if applicable, in PDF format
  • Scanned copy of dyslexic certificate, if applicable, in PDF format
  • Relevant annexures, if applicable, in PDF format
  • Certificate required for compensatory time and scribe
