Kerala PSC issues provisional allotment list for civil excise officer recruitment

The list of shortlisted candidates for physical measurements and PET is available on keralapsc.gov.in.

The Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the provisional allotment list for the physical measurement and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the direct recruitment to the post of civil excise officer (trainee) in Kerala excise and prohibition department in Malappuram district. A total of 223 candidates have been shortlisted for the physical examination including 169 in the main list and 54 in the supplementary list.

The eligibility of shortlisted candidates is subject to the verification of the original documents and they have been selected on the basis of the common OMR test conducted on May 17, 2025 and endurance test held on September 16 and 17.

The pay scale of civil excise trainees will be in the range of Rs 27,900 and Rs 63,700. Kerala PSC informed that the inclusion of registration numbers in the list is provisional and does not confer any right on the candidates for inclusion in the ranking list.

The date, time, and venue of the physical test will be announced in due course through SMS, profile message, print, and electronic media, said the commission. The shortlisted candidates will be required to download their admission tickets for the test from their OTR profiles on the official website, keralapsc.gov.in and appear in person by producing their hall ticket, medical certificate, and original ID proof.

PET rules

The PSC informed that the physical measurements of candidates will be taken prior to the PET and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the PET, he will not be given a further chance to participate in the exam, it added.

At the time of OTR verification, candidates will also be required to produce community certificate and EWS certificate, if applicable. As per the rules, the revaluation of answer scripts is not allowed but answer scripts can be rechecked after the publication of ranked list. Copy of answer scripts of the OMR test will be issued to those candidates who apply for the sheets by paying the prescribed fee after approval of the ranked list.
