RRB Technician 2025 registration deadline extended till August 7; age limit cut-off date remains unchanged

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the registration deadline for the RRB Technician Grade 1, 3 posts 2025 recruitment till August 7. Eligible candidates can register for the RRB Technician 2025 exam through the official website at rrbapply.gov.in.

The earlier deadline for the RRB Technician 2025 recruitment exam was July 28. However, there is no change in the date fixed for calculating the upper and lower age limit of candidates. As per the original notification, the age will be reckoned as on July 1, 2025.

For Technician Grade I (Signal), the age limit is 18 to 36 years, and for Technician Grade III, it is 18 to 33 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 6,238 vacancies under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) 02/2025. Of the total vacancies, 183 posts are reserved for Technician Grade 1 (Signal), while 6,055 are for Technician Grade 3.

RRB Technician 2025 Exam: Application fee

Candidates applying for RRB Technician 2025 will be required to pay an examination fee of Rs 500. Out of this, Rs 400 will be refunded after deduction of bank charges, provided the candidate appears for the computer-based test (CBT).

Candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), ex-servicemen, persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), female candidates, transgender, minority communities and economically backwards class (EBC)* will have to pay a reduced fee of Rs 250. This amount too will be refunded after deducting bank charges, once the candidate appears for the CBT.

As per the revised schedule, candidates can now pay the application fee till August 9. The modification window, which allows applicants to correct details in the submitted form except information filled during account creation and the chosen RRB, will now be open from August 10 to 19. Eligible candidates requiring a scribe can provide scribe details between August 20 and 24.

The RRB Technician 2025 selection process includes a computer-based test (CBT), document verification and a medical examination. The RRB Technician 2025 CBT exam is tentatively scheduled for October to December 2025.
