Factors behind decline in SSC GD constable cut-offs

The decrease in cut-offs for male and female candidates in SSC GD Constable 2025 may reflect a relatively tougher exam compared with 2024, leading to lower scores. A higher number of candidates and adjustments in the normalisation process could also have influenced the overall score distribution.

The total number of vacancies also affects the cut-offs. In 2025, the recruitment drive aimed to fill 53,690 posts, including 48,320 for male candidates and 53,690 for female candidates. In comparison, the 2024 drive considered 46,617 vacancies, with 41,467 for male and 5,150 for female candidates.
