Scholarship Fraud: 40 institutes, including 7 private universities were blacklisted and banned from scholarship portal last month.
NEW DELHI: The Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan has blacklisted four more educational institutions due to irregularities related to scholarship. The decision was taken on the basis of the report submitted by the inquiry committee on December 29.
Last month, the department had blacklisted and banned 40 institutes, including 7 private universities, from the scholarship portal with immediate effect. No new applications will be accepted by the department from these 44 institutions.
Moreover, the students who have been found ineligible by the investigation committee, formed on December 12, will no longer be receiving the scholarship benefits.

Further, it has permitted the department to lodge an FIR against the ineligible students, the head of the concerned educational institution or the officer authorized for scholarship in the institution.
“The scholarship applications in which irregular payment has been made by the district office should be immediately recovered,” it added.
The four institutions added in the list of blacklisted institutions are Gaurav TT College, Jaipur; Hadoti Private ITI, Ladpura, Kota; SPDM Private Industrial Training Institute, Jhotwara, Jaipur; and Swami Vivekanand Teacher Training College, Jaipur.
