The AIBE 18 was earlier scheduled to be held on December 3, the same day as CLAT PG 2024.
“The Bar Council of India would like to announce the rescheduling of the All India Bar Exam (AIBE), XVIII originally scheduled for December 3, 2023. The decision to reschedule the AIBE has been taken due to an clash with the CLAT PO exam and MP State Judicial PT which are also slated for the same day,” the official statement said.
The council also received several representations from students challenging the overlap of dates. Although it addressed the concerns of the students who are planning to appear in both CLAT and AIBE exams, the exam date now clashes with the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET 2024) conducted by the National Law University for admission into its BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD programmes.
