AICTE launches third edition of ‘The Inventors Challenge’; collaborates with Arm Education, STMicroelectron

NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) today launched the third edition of 'The Inventors Challenge 2024' in partnership with Arm Education and STMicroelectronics at its headquarters in New Delhi. Following the successful completion of the prior two editions of 'The Inventors Challenge', the third edition is launched with the purpose of further nurturing faculty and student abilities in semiconductor and technology innovation.

The Inventors Challenge 2024 aligns with the Indian government's objective to grow the country's semiconductor ecosystem and catalyse India's rapidly growing electronics manufacturing industry.

The Inventors Challenge is organised with the goal of expanding the semiconductor talent pool and encouraging innovation. The challenge encourages participation from students and faculty members from AICTE-affiliated colleges across the country, fostering a varied spectrum of semiconductor-related ideas and points of view. The Inventors Challenge is a team-based event consisting of one faculty and up to four students, submitting their ideas on sustainability, smart mobility and artificial intelligence on the edge.

Commenting on the launch of the third edition, AICTE Chairman TG Sitharam said "The third edition of The Inventors Challenge underscores AICTE's steadfast commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among India's youth. By providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving prowess, we aim to catalyze a new era of innovation-driven growth and development in the country." He further said, The Inventors Challenge has reiterated our belief on the importance of industry-academia knowledge sharing. The initiative was well received and the feedback from participants has further strengthened our belief to continue such interactions, leading to the launch The Inventors Challenge 2024.

Throughout the competition, competitors will be guided and mentored by industry leaders, academic luminaries, and seasoned innovators, promoting skill development and professional progress.
