AICTE opens registration for SSSJKL scholarship scheme for Class 12 students, engineering diploma holders

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has opened registration for its Special Scholarship Scheme (SSSJKL) for the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for the academic year 2026-27. Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship scheme through the official website at aicte.gov.in.

The SSSJKL scheme comes under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Yojana. It provides financial assistance to students pursuing higher education and achieving their academic aspirations.

As per the eligibility criteria, students who have passed Class 12 exam from JKBOSE or CBSE schools located in Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh during the session 2024-25 or 2025-26 are eligible to apply for the scholarship .

SSSJKL Scholarship 2026: Financial support, document verification details

Moreover, those holding engineering diploma certificates from J and K board of Technical education are also eligible to apply.

The SSSJKL scholarship will provide financial assistance to students for admission to their general degree courses, professional programmes such as engineering, nursing pharmacy, hotel management and architecture, and BA LLB through National Law Universities, as well as MBBS, BDS or equivalent medical courses.

Those seeking lateral entry admission to the second year of engineering courses for eligible diploma holders.

Students admitted to general degree courses will receive academic fee support of up to Rs 30,000 per year, while those enrolled in professional and lateral entry engineering courses are eligible for up to Rs 1.25 lakh annually.

Notably, those pursuing MBBS, BDS, and equivalent medical courses will receive up to Rs 3 lakh per year towards academic fees.

In addition, students will also receive a maintenance allowance of Rs 1 lakh per annum, which will be disbursed in 10 equal instalments through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Eligible candidates should have to visit the SSSJKL students portal or visit the nearest facilitation centre for assistance.
