NEW DELHI: Anant National University, in collaboration with India Accelerator (IA), has announced the launch of Swaastha, a healthcare accelerator programme. This initiative is designed to support Indian start-ups in the healthcare and related fields that have deployed or are ready to deploy their solutions.
As per the official press release, the healthcare industry in India is one of the fastest-growing sectors in terms of revenue and employment, projected to reach US$ 638 billion by 2025. The increasing demand for improved healthcare facilities necessitates continuous innovation across the industry. Swaastha aims to meet this need through a collaborative approach that brings together start-ups, academic institutions, and industries. By promoting innovation and addressing practical challenges, the accelerator strives to build a strong innovation ecosystem.
The Swaastha programme will focus on various areas including drug discovery and development, next-generation diagnostics, digital health solutions, last-mile delivery, optical dispensing, genome sequencing, IVF, fetal and neonatal monitoring, and AI-driven prognosis, diagnosis, and interventions.
As per the official press release, through the combining expertise of Anant National University, India Accelerator, and enrolled start-ups, the Swaastha programme aims for advancement in healthcare. The university mentions that this partnership will elevate healthcare standards, catalyze technological innovations, and foster the creation of solutions poised to enhance patient outcomes and public health on a broad scale.
