AP NEET PG Counselling 2025: Registration reopens; Rs 50 lakh bond policy, 191 barred from admission

Use NowThe registration process for Andhra Pradesh NEET PG counselling 2025 is currently underway for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma courses under the competent authority quota. A total of 191 candidates have been barred from participating in this year’s admission process.
Dr NTR University of Health Sciences had opened the AP NEET PG counselling 2025 on September 19 without late fee and was available till September 25. Later, the application form submission deadline was extended till September 27.
However, the AP NEET PG application link has again been made live on the official website, drntr.uhsap.in. The official notification says that the eligible candidates will be allowed to apply for admission with a late fee and the details will be announced in a separate notification. Although the application link is live now, there is no update yet on the late fee process.
191 barred from AP NEET counselling 2025
Candidates who were allotted a seat in the last two rounds – stray and special stray vacancy – but failed to report at the allotted college and those who decided to discontinue the course after joining will not be permitted to participate in this year’s admission process.
In this regard, 22 candidates who failed to report to the allotted college last year and 169 candidates who discontinued their course between June 1, 2022, and the present date will not be allowed to apply under the competent authority or management quota seats.
All eligible candidates will be allotted a seat in government, un-aided private non-minority and minority medical college under competent authority quota seats in Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati.
The university clarified that the application and process fee, including late fee once paid will not be refunded.

AP NEET PG bond policy, in-service rules
Qualifying NEET PG 2025 exam alone will not guarantee admissions to AP medical colleges for PG courses. Candidates should have completed the compulsory in-service or rural service to be eligible for the in-service quota.
All candidates should have qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate ( NEET PG 2025 ) conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
Candidates should not have completed 50 years of age as on the date of NEET PG exam notification, ie,. April 16, 2025.
They should have completed a minimum of two years of service in a tribal area, three years in a rural area, or six years in regular government service as on April 16, 2025.
Candidates will have to execute a bond stating that they shall serve for a minimum period of 10 years upon completion of PG medical course in any government or health facility of the state. Failing to comply with the bond policy shall lead to a penalty of Rs 50 lakh, in addition to the pay and allowances received for the duration of studies of in-service PG, super specialty courses with applicable rate of interest.
