Assam NEET PG 2026 round 3 registration from January 27; seat allotment result on February 7

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has issued the revised schedule for the Assam National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG 2026) round 3 counselling for admission to vacant postgraduate medical seats under the Assam State Quota for the 2025 session. As per the revised schedule, online registration for the Assam NEET PG 2026 round 3 counselling will be available on the official website, dme.assam.gov.in, from January 27 to January 29.

As per the official notice, the Assam NEET PG 2026 round 3 counselling , which was earlier postponed till further notice, will now be held as per the revised schedule.

Candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2025 and meet the revised cut-off score notified by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on January 13 will be eligible to participate, provided their name and roll number appear in the state provisional merit list published by DME Assam.

“The counselling shall be held as per “Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment upto date)” and candidates who appeared in NEET-PG-2025 conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and who meets the revised cut-off score in NEET PG-2025 , published by the NBE, New Delhi vide its Notification dated 13/01/2026, shall be eligible to participate in the online counselling,” the official notice said.

Assam NEET PG 2026 Counselling: Round 3 choice filling on January 30

The Assam NEET PG 2026 round 3 choice filling window will remain open from January 30 to February 2, while choice locking will be available on February 2 from 4 pm to 11.55 pm. The processing of seat allotment will be carried out between February 3 and February 4. The provisional Assam NEET PG 2026 seat allotment result is expected to be published on February 7.

Candidates who are provisionally selected will be required to report and complete the admission process at their allotted institutions between February 11 and February 12. DME Assam has advised candidates to regularly visit the official website for updates related to counselling, seat allotment, and admission modalities.

Candidates who have already registered in the first, second, or earlier third round of Assam NEET PG 2026 counselling are not required to register again. Such candidates will be able to participate directly in the online choice filling process for fresh allotment or change of college.
