"Competent authority regarding reduction in the minimum qualifying percentile criteria of NEET (UG) 2024 & AIAPGET-2024 by Fifteen percentile across all categories for admission in UG & PG Courses of ASU for the AY 2024-25 is hereby conveyed for wide public circulation and necessary action", the official notification read.
"Further, the cut-off date for admission in UG & PG courses of ASU AY 2024-25 has also been extended and shall be 20th December 2024", the notification added.
This reduction is applicable to both UG and PG admissions in AYUSH institutions, and it will directly benefit candidates from all categories, including General, OBC, SC, and ST. The reduction in cut-off will make it easier for a larger number of students to secure a seat in the various AYUSH programs.
This extension allows candidates more time to complete the admission process for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in the AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) stream.
This deadline extension is particularly significant for those who have cleared the NEET UG and PG exams, as it provides additional time for:
The AACCC AYUSH counselling is being conducted for 15% of All India Quota seats in government institutions, central universities, national institutes, and private colleges, as well as 100% of seats in deemed universities, to facilitate admissions into Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy courses. For the remaining 85% state quota seats, the respective state counselling authorities manage the admissions.
Through NEET AYUSH counselling 2024, a total of 52,720 seats across 914 colleges offering BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS, and BNYS programmes will be available for allocation.
