AIBE 21 registrations from February 11; BCI to hold exam on June 7

The Bar Council of India (BCI) will open the AIBE 21 (AIBE XXI) registrations on February 11, 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the All India Bar Examination 21 (AIBE 21) from tomorrow through the official website at barcouncilofindia.org and allindiabarexamination.com.

The AIBE 21 registration link will be active from February 11 to April 30 and candidates will be able to pay the application fee by May 1. The BCI will host the correction facility to edit particulars in the AIBE 21 until May 3. The exam hall tickets will be issued on May 22.

The council will conduct the AIBE XXI on June 7. The eligible exam will be held as an open-book, multiple-choice test, conducted to assess the knowledge of candidates on various subjects, including constitutional law, criminal law, civil procedure, and professional ethics.

BCI AIBE 21: Eligibility, CoP

The BCI will allow only those candidates to appear for AIBE 21, who have passed the LLB 3-year or 5-year programmes through BCI-recognised universities or colleges.

Notably, after a Supreme Court’s verdict, final year law students are also eligible to appear in the AIBE exams.

The BCI conducts the AIBE exams for law graduates and final year LLB students to provide them with the permit to practice law in India. Those who qualify the AIBE get a Certificate of Practice (CoP), which is a permit to practice law in India.

The AIBE 21 will be held in different languages for candidates emerging from different parts of the country.
