NEW DELHI : The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced the schedule for the spot round of undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2024-25. As per the dates, the spot round registration will commence from September 9, 2024. Candidates will be able to apply for BHU UG admission 2024 on the official website, bhu.ac.in.
The upgradation of seats before the spot round can be done on September 5 and candidates who upgrade will need to adjust the fee between September 5 and 7. The final seat matrix for the spot round will be determined after the upgradation process.
BHU Admission 2024: Eligibility for spot round
The following candidates will be eligible to register for the spot round of counselling:
- Candidates who have not registered for the counseling so far.
- Candidates who registered for the counselling process and were not offered any seat during the regular round allotment (waitlisted).
- Candidates who were offered seats but could not deposit the fee in stipulated time.
- Candidates who deposited the fee but got their admissions cancelled or withdrawn, rejected during verification.
Candidates who are holding a seat or have already freezed their seat in the regular rounds will not be eligible to apply for the spot round.
Eligible candidates who want to participate in the spot round must choose the "Spot Admission" option on their online dashboard and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 500.
BHU UG Admission 2024: Important dates
The university said that it will also inform the admitted students about the physical reporting, verification of documents, hostel allotments, and more through email.
