BHU UG Admission 2025: Round 3 seat allotment out; accept and pay fees by August 21

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has declared the seat allotment for undergraduate (UG) counselling round 3. The allocation of seats is live on the candidates’ Samarth portal. Selected students can complete fee payment through the online link on their dashboard by August 21.

BHU counselling 2025 is conducted on the official website at bhu.samarth.ac.in. Candidates will have the option to choose the ‘freeze’ option or the ‘upgrade’ option after the fee payment. If they are not satisfied with the current allotment, they can opt to upgrade their seat to a higher preference through subsequent rounds of counselling. If they want to accept the current seat, they can ‘freeze’ it and confirm admission.

If a candidate’s seat has been upgraded from the previous round to a programme with a higher fee, they have to submit the balance fee within the stipulated time. A delay in fee payment will lead to the cancellation of admission. Such candidates will not be considered for the next rounds of counselling. If the upgraded programme fee is lower than the previously allotted course fee, then the balance will be adjusted.

BHU UG seat upgradation

If a candidate who has applied for seat upgradation has not been allotted an upgraded seat in this round, their previous seat will be retained. The student should accept admission to the allotted seat.

Students with a valid Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2025) score can secure admission to various UG courses at BHU through the university’s counselling process. Four regular rounds of seat allocation will be conducted, followed by a spot round against the remaining vacancies.
