Bihar govt announces major digital education upgrade with ICT labs in 5,907 schools, aiming to bring smart classrooms, 3D learning and internet access for students
The Bihar government has announced a major push towards digital education with the establishment of state-of-the-art ICT (information and communication technology) labs in government schools across the state. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, sharing details on X, said that the initiative aims to ensure “world-class education reaches every child in Bihar” through technology-driven learning.
According to the announcement, ICT labs will be set up in 5,907 schools at an estimated cost of Rs 377 crore. The project is expected to significantly strengthen the quality of education in government institutions by integrating smart classrooms, digital boards, internet connectivity, and advanced teaching tools. The Chief Minister described it as a step towards empowering students and enabling them to learn through modern, technology-based methods, including 3D-enabled educational content.
The post reads, “This initiative will take the quality of education to new heights and provide every child with an empowering opportunity to advance with technology.”

The official poster shared by him highlights the campaign titled “Digital Bihar, Smart Schools – A New Revolution in Education.” It outlines that the ICT labs will be equipped with computers, smart classrooms, high-speed internet, digital boards, sound systems, audio-visual learning facilities, and advanced technologies such as 3D screens. The initiative is designed to make classrooms more interactive and engaging for students.
CM Choudhary further stated that the initiative reflects Bihar’s commitment to educational transformation, adding that “one resolve, one slogan, empowered Bihar is ours,” underscoring the government’s focus on long-term development through education and technology.
Bihar Class 10 and 12 Result 2026
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the Class 10 (Matric) Result 2026 on March 29, 2026. Around 15.10 lakh students appeared for the examination, out of which approximately 12.35 lakh candidates successfully passed. The overall pass percentage stood at 81.79%. The exams were conducted from February 2 to February 13, 2026.

For Class 12 (Intermediate), the Bihar Board declared the results on March 23, 2026. Nearly 13.17 lakh students appeared for the examination, with an overall pass percentage of 85.19%. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 86.23%, while boys achieved 84.09%. Stream-wise, Commerce emerged as the best-performing stream with 93.07%, followed by Science at 87.46% and Arts at 82.76%.
