NEW DELHI: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Bihar has commenced the application process for state National Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) 2025 exam. Interested students can register for the Bihar NMMS 2024 examination through the official website of SCERT at scert.bihar.gov.in.

As per the schedule, the Bihar NMMS 2024 application window will remain active till December 1. Students will have to use enter their educational and personal details to register for Bihar NMMS 2024.

As per the schedule, the Bihar NMMS 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on January 19, 2025. The scholarship aims to inspire students from economically weaker sections to continue their studies and minimise the dropout percentage.

Bihar NMMSS exam pattern

The Bihar NMMSS exam will consist of two sections: Part 1 (Mental Ability Test) and Part 2 (Scholastic Ability Test). Here's a breakdown of the exam format:

Bihar NMMS 2025 eligibility criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

  • Class: Students must be studying in Class 8 at a recognized government or government-aided school in Bihar.
  • Academic Performance: The candidate must have secured at least 55% marks (for general category students) or 50% marks (for SC/ST students) in their Class 7 final exams.

2. Age Limit:

  • Candidates should not be older than 13 years as of 1st July of the year in which they are applying (i.e., the age should be below 13 years for students appearing in the exam in Class 8).

3. Parental Income:

  • The family income of the candidate's parents should not exceed Rs 1,50,000 per annum from all sources.

The NMMSS scholarship exam is for students in Class 9 to Class 12 who are studying in government or government-aided schools.
