BITSoM’s 3rd cohort records 100% summer internship placement for MBA

BITSoM Internship Placement 2024: The overall average of the cohort stands at Rs 1.75 lakh, aggregate for two months.
NEW DELHI: BITS School of Management (BITSoM) records 100% summer internship placement for its third cohort of Master of Business Administration (MBA) class 2023-25. All 131 students who participated in the summer internship placement process were placed at a median stipend of Rs 2 lakh.
As per the institute, a total of 55 companies participated in the placement cycle. The overall average of the cohort stands at Rs 1.75 lakh, aggregate for two months. The top ten per cent of the class has an average stipend of Rs 3.42 lakh and the top 30% has secured an average stipend of Rs 3.06 lakh. The top half of the class has an average stipend of Rs 2.70 lakh.
Diverse industry offers
The BITSoM summer internship placement saw offers from various domains such as consulting, FMCG, retail, media and advertising, conglomerate and manufacturing, IT and product, e-commerce, and finance. Companies including McKinsey, EY, PwC and Gartner hired students during the placement process.
Banking and financial sector recruitment
In the banking and financial sector, companies such as JP Morgan Chase, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, Axis Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential AMC, Quantum AMC, Cervin Ventures, and Avista Advisory recruited students. In addition to this, students also bagged offers from conglomerates and FMCG, FMCD organisations including Tata Sons, Aditya Birla Group, Hindustan Unilever, Britannia, Nivea, Pidilite, Jubilant Foodworks, Pernod Ricard, Signify, Tata Consumer among many more.

Furthermore, employers such as Flipkart, Big Basket, Vodafone Idea, Flex, Merilytics, Fanplay IOT, and Arka Energy, from the sustainable energy sector also made offers. “While a majority of students were placed through the campus process, there were 22 students who proactively found their own internships,” the institute said.
