The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has clarified that the 71st Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) preliminary and the Assistant Branch Officer exam 2025 will take place on September 13, 2025, as scheduled. The clarification comes after some teachers, experts, and coaching operators circulated false information suggesting a postponement of the exam.

According to an official press release, some teachers, experts, and coaching operators have been spreading fabricated information regarding the exam date, causing unnecessary confusion among candidates. The Commission emphasised that no official indication or notification has been issued suggesting any change to the scheduled date.

“The date for the 71st Integrated Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination was announced two months ago, and till now, the Commission has not issued any indication or information suggesting that the exam date may be extended,” the official press release said.

The Commission described the rumours as completely baseless and misleading. The Commission further emphasised that any updates regarding a postponement will be shared exclusively through its official website, 'X' (Twitter) handle, or official press releases.

As per the official press release, candidates will be given sufficient time to download their admit cards and receive information regarding their exam district and centres, as has been the practice in previous examinations. The press release also advised candidates to remain cautious about rumours and not rely on information from unofficial sources.

Earlier, the commission had received complaints about claims suggesting that questions in its previous examinations matched model question series from certain coaching institutes. The Commission, through the official notice, stated that these claims are entirely false and misleading.
