BPSC Teacher Recruitment: 1,061 candidates qualified for appointment in Class 6-8 and 1,204 in Class 1-5. Results are available on bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the results of Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) for candidates who completed Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Candidates can check BPSC TRE 2 results on the official website, bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
BPSC TRE 2.0 results are available for six subjects of Classes 6 to 8 including English, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, mathematics science, and social science and three subjects of Classes 1 to 5 including general, Urdu, and Bangla.
BPSC TRE 2.0 appointment process will be carried out by the administrative department after verification of the claims made by candidates included in the provisional merit list prepared by the commission regarding academic, professional, teacher eligibility test, and other qualifications. After verification of the claims and documents submitted by the applicants, the department may revise the merit list.
Only those candidates have been included in the concerned category who meet the cut-off marks and cut-off date of birth as per the originally published result. The merit rank of NIOS candidates has been determined as follows: if two NIOS candidates fall between merit rank 1 and 2 of the previously published combined merit list, then their merit ranks will be shown as 1N1 and 1N2 respectively.
The Supreme Court in December last year clarified in a review petition that the candidates who studied 18-month DElEd from NIOS and served as teachers on or before August 2017 would be eligible for recruitment. Earlier, the top court had ruled that the diploma does not hold equivalence with the standard two-year DElEd and cannot be considered valid for teacher recruitment.
BPSC TRE 2.0 exams were held from December 7 to December 15. The recruitment drive aimed to fill a total of 122,286 vacancies of primary and secondary teachers in government schools.
