BSEB Class 10 scholarship registration deadline extended to September 15

Students who secured first division in Bihar Board Class 10 exams in 2022, 2023, or 2024, and SC, ST students who passed in second division, are eligible.
The Bihar Education Department has announced a final opportunity for eligible Class 10 students of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) to register for scholarship and incentive schemes. Students who passed the Bihar board Class 10 in first division in 2022, 2023, or 2024, and SC, ST students who passed in second division are eligible.
The schemes include the Chief Minister Girl Child Incentive Scheme, Chief Minister Student Incentive Scheme, Chief Minister Backwards Class/Extremely Backwards Class Merit Scholarship, and Chief Minister Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Merit Scholarship.
Earlier, lists of eligible students were uploaded on the MedhaSoft portal developed by NIC. A review found that several students had not completed registration on the eKalyan portal.
Bihar Class 10th Scholarship: Apply via MedhaSoft portal
The department has now extended the registration deadline to September 15, 2025. Eligible students who have not applied yet for the scholarship and incentive schemes can register though the official website at medhasoft.bihar.gov.in.
After verification, the portal will provide a User ID and password via the student’s registered mobile number and email, enabling them to fill out the application form.

Bank account must Be in student’s name for eligibility
The notice states that students should have a bank account in their own name, maintained at a nationalised bank, a recognised private bank, or an India Post Payment Bank branch located in Bihar. Failure to register by September 15 will be treated as a decision not to participate, and no further opportunity will be offered.
“If eligible beneficiaries do not complete registration by September 15, 2025, it will be assumed that they are not interested in availing the scheme, and no further opportunity will be provided after this date,” the notice said.
