Download EBookThe Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has identified 39,143 students from 3,248 secondary schools across the state whose signed dummy registration cards have not been uploaded on the Board’s portal, despite multiple opportunities provided for compliance. The dummy registration cards are mandatory for verification and issuance of the original registration cards required to appear in the Bihar Board Annual Secondary Examination, 2026.
The Board had initially scheduled the upload period of BSEB matric dummy registration cards 2026 from July 5 to July 25, which was subsequently extended to July 26 to August 9, August 10 to August 19, and August 23 to September 8, 2025. Despite these extensions, a significant number of schools failed to complete the required uploads.
A district-wise review shows Patna leads with 2,219 students from 211 schools pending upload, followed by Gaya with 3,941 students from 125 schools, and Muzaffarpur with 2,547 students from 171 schools. Other districts with substantial pending uploads include Nalanda, Siwan, and Purnia.
Upload Class 10 dummy cards by September 14
BSEB has issued a final directive allowing students to download, verify, and sign their BSEB dummy registration cards along with parents or guardians and coordinate with their school principals to ensure the upload from September 9, 2025, to September 14, 2025.
“If a student’s signed dummy registration card is not uploaded on the Board’s portal, their original registration card will not be issued, and they will be barred from filling the examination form for the Annual Secondary Examination, 2026. Consequently, the admit card will not be issued, and the student will lose one academic year. Full responsibility will lie with the concerned student and the institution’s principal,” the official notice said.
District Education Officers have been instructed to convene meetings with school principals to ensure compliance within the stipulated time frame. The Board has provided a report link, “Dummy Registration Declaration Form Not Uploaded Report,” for officers to track pending uploads by school and district.
