Police registered a case against the assistant professor for allegedly sending obscene messages to the students after the varsity registrar referred the complaint to the law enforcers. The sexual explicit messages were sent through social media.
In a similar incident, a professor from the National Law Institute University (NLIU) in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal had resigned recently due to sexual harassment allegations by some of his students. “No student has come to us with a complaint yet. A woman police officer has been in contact with the students, but they have sought some more time to take a call about filing a complaint,” Bhopal police commissioner Makrand Deoskar told PTI.
