The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 notification for admission to Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs) and other MBA colleges across the country is expected to be out in the last week of July. As per previous years trends, the computer-based test is expected to be conducted on November 30.

One of the IIMs will conduct the gateway exam for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and management courses. According to the selection process, candidates will get admission on the basis of their marks in the CAT written exam, personal interview and group discussion rounds.

As per the registration charges, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories will be able to pay Rs 1,200 as application fee.

The registration charges for other category candidates to appear in the national-level entrance exam will be Rs 2,500. Last year, IIM Calcutta conducted the CAT 2024 exam on November 24 in three sessions across 170 test cities.

CAT 2025: Eligibility, exam pattern

Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree with 50% of equivalent CGPA marks are eligible to apply for the Common Admission Test 2025. The eligibility criteria for those from the SC, ST, PwD categories include 45% marks in the qualifying exam.

Furthermore, as per the seat matrix, 15 per cent of the seats in the IIMs, other MBA colleges are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for Other Backward Classes- Non Creamy Layer (OBC NCL) and up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category applicants.
