Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has signed an agreement with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to enhance academic and professional opportunities in accountancy and finance. The partnership will involve joint academic programmes, workshops, seminars, and professional development initiatives such as faculty training and trainer development sessions.

The CAT 2025 registration fee has been revised to Rs 1,300 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, up from Rs 1,250. For all other candidates, the fee has been increased to Rs 2,600 from Rs 2,500.

Based on previous years’ trends, a CAT percentile between 95 and 80 is typically required for top IIMs, while a percentile of 85–80 can secure interview calls from other NIRF-ranked management institutes. However, a high CAT score alone does not ensure admission. IIMs also consider academic performance, work experience, and diversity while shortlisting candidates for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI).

Admission to IIMs involves a two-step process. In the first stage, candidates are shortlisted for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) using a pre-PI score, calculated from CAT percentile and academic profile. The second stage evaluates candidates on PI performance, CAT score, academics, work experience, and diversity factors.

The CAT 2025 exam will be conducted on November 30 in three sessions. The paper will follow last year’s pattern, with three sections – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA).

As per the CAT 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be given three marks for every correct response, and one mark will be deducted for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

CAT 2025, conducted by IIM Kozhikode, is a computer-based exam lasting 120 minutes with 40 minutes per section. Questions include MCQs and TITA types, with negative marking for MCQs only. Section order is fixed, and PwD candidates receive extra time.

As per the latest rules, 15% seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC, and up to 10% for EWS candidates. An additional 5% quota is reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD). Candidates should check their eligibility before applying.

The CAT 2025 registration fee has been revised this year. General category candidates are required to pay Rs 2,600, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates will have to pay Rs 1,300. The fee is non-refundable, and applicants need to pay it only once, irrespective of the number of institutes they are applying to.
