Candidates will be given 120 minutes to complete the exam. Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions and will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while attempting a section. 

The CAT 2025 eligibility criteria are as follows

• Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, and 45% marks in case of SC, ST, and PwD categories.
• Candidates who have completed a professional degree such as CA, CS, CMA, Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) with the required percentage.
• Candidates in the final year of their bachelor’s programme can also apply. 

The rise in the number of female candidates in the two-year Post Graduate Programme (PGP) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore reflects an improvement in gender diversity.
