The CAT 2026 application fee has gone up this year. General, EWS, and NC-OBC candidates will now pay Rs 2,700, and others have to pay Rs 1,350.
As per the CAT 2026 schedule , the last date for filling out the application form is September 15. CAT 2026 admit card will be made available from November 4 to 29, and the results will be declared in January 2027 first week.
Last year, IIM Kozhikode conducted the CAT MBA entrance exam for around 2.58 lakh candidates, of whom 10 male and 2 female students scored a perfect 100th percentile.
CAT 2026: How to apply?
Students can apply for CAT 2026 by following the steps given below.
- Visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in.
- Click the “New Candidate Registration” button.
- A new page will open. Enter the required details.
- Click on the “Generate OTP” button.
- After entering the OTP, complete the CAT 2026 registration.
- Log in to the candidate's dashboard.
- Fill out application form with personal details, document uploading, and other information.
- Fill in the academic and qualification details.
- Enter the work experience details, if any.
- Choose the preferred test city
- Pay the CAT 2026 application fee.
- Keep a copy of application form for future reference.
Students are advised to maintain a valid and unique email account and a mobile phone number throughout the admission process. Moreover, applicants belonging to the SC, ST, and PwBD categories must upload the relevant certificates. During the CAT application form filling process, candidates are required to select any five test cities based on their preferences.

CAT 2026 syllabus includes three sections:
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

CAT 2026 exam timings
CAT 2026 exam will be held in three sessions, and the timings for each session are given below.
- Slot 1 timing: 8:30 am - 10:30 am (Morning Session)
- Slot 2 timing: 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm (Afternoon Session)
- Slot 3 timing: 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm (Evening Session)

- Application form filling last date: September 15
- Exam dates: November 29, 2026 (Sunday)
- Admit Card: November 4 to November 29, 2026
- Result Date: First week of January 2027
- CAT 2026 score validity: Until December 31, 2027
