NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reminded schools to submit List of Candidates (LOC) for Class 10, 12 board exams 2025 on time and correctly. The board reiterated that no window will be provided for the correction of data once submitted.

More than 40 lakh candidates from 29,940 schools in India and 26 countries abroad are expected to appear in CBSE board exams 2025. Only those candidates whose names appear on the LOC submitted to the board will be able to write the exams.

Background wave

“Conduct of Class X and XII examinations is a task of utmost importance for CBSE and its affiliated schools and depends on correct and timely submission of the List of Candidates by all affiliated schools,” the board said.

Through the notice, the central board reminded all schools for timely submission of LOC for Class 10, 12 for 2024-25 session, ensuring correctness of data with respect to subject combinations and particulars of all candidates, submission of data on Online Affiliated School Information System (OASIS) and Health and Physical Education (HPE) before submitting LOC data, and filling in correct category of Children with Special Needs (CWSN).

CBSE Board Exams 2025: Correction of data after results

“Further, no window for correction of data once filled will be made available. Hence, all Head of Schools/Principals are once again directed to ensure the submission of the LOC data timely,” CBSE further stated.

The board earlier said that in order to conduct smooth and successful exams it has decided to allow correction of data only after the exams are conducted and results are declared. In case, a school or student wishes to correct the subjects, they may be able to do so after the exams for supplementary exams. Such students may decide whether to appear for the wrong subject in the main exams.
