Attempt NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting board exams twice a year beginning from the academic session 2024-25. All students who will appear for the CBSE Class 10, 12 exams in the 2024-25 academic session will be among the first batch to experience the twice-a-year board exam format. However, this CBSE twice-a-year board exam system will not be mandatory for students.

“The system aims to reduce stress on students who fear missing out on a single opportunity. If a candidate is prepared and is satisfied with the score in one set of exams, he can choose not to appear for the next exam.” officials told Times of India.
In an interview with TOI, education minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said that the twice-a-year board format will be rolled out from 2024-25 academic year. "This means this will be adopted from the 2025 board exams for Class X and XII. This will be effective from the present Class IX and XI students,” Pradhan said to TOI .

CBSE board exams 2024
The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10, 12 board exams 2024 will be conducted from February 15. CBSE board exam admit cards 2024 are awaited.
The number of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) have been increased in the upcoming CBSE board exams 2024. As per the recent changes, the board will include roughly 20% of MCQ-based questions in the CBSE Class 12 board exam 2024.
A total of 40% of the questions on the final examinations will be competency-based, including MCQs, source-based, and case-study-based questions. The remaining 40% will be short as well as long answer-type-questions.
