Apart from CBSE results and fee data, the board has also directed schools to disclose information on infrastructure online by February 15, 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed all affiliated schools to upload and update mandatory public disclosures on their official websites by February 15, warning that non-compliance may attract action under the affiliation rules.
The circular issued by CBSE said that disclosures must include fee structure, annual academic calendar, school management committee (SMC) and parent-teacher association (PTA) details, along with Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE board exam results for the last three years.
The board said that schools are also required to publish the number of registered students, pass percentages and year-wise remarks, in addition to clearly mentioning the teacher–student ratio.
CBSE stated that schools must also upload detailed teacher information, covering the strength and qualifications of principals, vice-principals, head teachers, post graduate teachers (PGT), trained graduate teachers (TGT) and primary teachers (PRT), as well as details of special educators, counsellors and wellness teachers.

The Board noted that information relating to teachers and their qualifications is often missing or outdated on school websites, despite repeated directions .
The circular reiterated that, the pupil–teacher ratio must not exceed 30:1 with each section must have at least 1.5 teachers, excluding the principal, physical education teacher and counsellor, to ensure adequate academic staffing .
CBSE reminded schools that maintaining a functional and updated website is compulsory and every affiliated school must host comprehensive institutional information, including affiliation status, infrastructure details, teacher qualifications, number of students and fees charged.
The board said that schools must also upload self-attested documents, including affiliation and renewal letters, trust or society registration certificates, Right to Education (RTE) recognition, building and fire safety certificates, drinking water and sanitation certificates, and the (District Education Officer) DEO certificate or self-certification.

The board cautioned that “in case, it is noticed at a later stage that uploaded documents are not genuine then the school shall be liable for action as per norms”. Infrastructure disclosures must include campus area, classrooms, laboratories, library facilities, toilets including children with special needs (CWSN)-friendly toilets, internet access and a YouTube link of the school inspection video.
CBSE underlined that accurate public disclosures are essential for transparency, regulatory compliance and informed decision-making by parents, adding that failure to comply with the February 15 deadline will be treated as a violation of affiliation conditions .
