CBSE has issued a strict warning to schools, emphasising that no student will be allowed to register during the List of Candidates (LOC) submission next year.
This change comes in response to repeated instances where schools missed registering students during the initial period and later tried to add them when submitting the LOC for board exams.
The board highlighted that common reasons provided by schools for missed registrations include:
Such excuses, CBSE states, will no longer be accepted, and any mistakes in registration will be taken seriously by the board. Schools are therefore advised to register all eligible students before the deadline to avoid complications during the board exam phase.
As per the schedule, CBSE Class 9, 11 registration will end on October 16 without late fee. If the registration is not completed by the given deadline, a late fee of Rs 2,300 will be imposed. The last date to submit this late fee is October 24, 2024. All payments must be made online, as per CBSE’s guidelines, and offline payments or direct bank deposits will not be accepted.
Schools are expected to adhere to the timeline, as failure to register students within the specified period could result in serious consequences, including the denial of the student's eligibility to sit for their board exams.
