CENTAC Puducherry NEET UG 2025 revised merit list out; SVDC slashes BDS fees to Rs 4.5 lakh

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has revised the merit list for the Puducherry NEET UG counselling 2025. A total of 1,576 candidates have been included in the CENTAC Puducherry NEET UG merit list 2025 under the government quota for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.

As per the CENTAC Puducherry NEET UG merit list 2025, only two candidates have been disqualified due to failure to meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

The revised draft merit list for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and other AYUSH courses under the government, management, and NRI quota has been published on the official website, centacpuducherry.in, after disposing of the objections or grievances raised by the candidates.

Special category lists of UT of Puducherry candidates – meritorious sports person, person with disabilities (PwD), freedom fighter, ex-servicemen, and government school students – have also been uploaded.

The merit list has been published based on the NEET UG cut-off 2025. The qualifying NEET UG marks are 144 for general and EWS category, 127 for GE-PH, and 113 for OBC, MBC, SC, EBC, BCM, ST, and PH categories.

Puducherry dental college reduces BDS fees

Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre has decided to reduce the BDS course fee under the management quota from Rs 6.50 lakh to Rs 4.50 lakh. The reduction in the fees is applicable to students enrolling in the academic year 2025-26 only.

Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Puducherry, on the other hand, announced the fee structure for MBBS course. The college offers 180 seats, of which 131 seats are reserved for government quota, including 10% EWS; 22 for NRI quota, and 27 for All India Quota (AIQ).

While the tuition fee is zero, caution deposit and academic fees will cost Rs 1,43,700.

“lf a candidate discontinues the course on or before the last date of counseling of the respective academic year of admission he/she shall have to forego the caution deposit Rs 20,000 and in case the candidate leaves the course on or after last date announced by NMC or any other competent authority or during any other subsequent academic years he/she shall have to pay a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- as penalty,” it clarified.
