CHSE Odisha Result 2023: Dissatisfied with Class 12 marks, student attempts suicide; condition critical

Class 12 student attempted suicide after CHSE Odisha result 2023 was declared today.
NEW DELHI: A Class 12 student from CHSE board 2023 attempted suicide today after CHSE Odisha result 2023 was declared today. As per reports in Odisha Bhaskar and Argus News, the girl attempted suicide as she was dissatisfied with her marks secured in CHSE plus two result 2023. The result was declared today at orissaresults.nic.in.
The reports state that the girl is from NAC Simulia village in the Balasore district. The student attempted suicide after discovering she had not secured first division in the CHSE board exam 2023. As per the reports, she jumped off the third floor of her home. However, she was saved by her neighbours, who took her to Nilagari sub-divisional hospital, as they responded after hearing her scream. Later, she was shifted to Balasore district headquarters hospital as her condition remained serious. As per the latest reports, her condition remains critical.

In 2023 alone, there have been multiple cases of students attempting or dying by suicide at senior secondary and higher education levels. Such cases have been found during exam sessions and after result declarations.
As per a report by Education Ministry, over 58 lakh students have failed in Class 10 and 12 board exams across India. The ministry has provided alternative solutions to bring the numbers down.
