Download EBookNEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 exam in the first week of December 2024. In response to Careers360 ’s query, the consortium said that CLAT 2025 will be held in first week of December. The application form will open in the first or second week of July.

The consortium will soon publish a detailed CLAT 2025 notification and the complete schedule on its official website. The official response from the Consortium of NLUs read, “Please note that the registration for CLAT 2025 will open by July mid-week and the exam will be conducted in the first week of December 2024. Dates are yet to be announced.”
The CLAT is an annual exam conducted for admission to 5-year LLB and LLM programmes at 24 participating national law universities. The entrance exam is a gateway for admission to top law schools in the country such as NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata and NLU Jodhpur.
CLAT 2025 Eligibility

Candidates who have passed their class 12 with a minimum of 45%marks are eligible for CLAT UG, whereas candidates with at least 50% aggregate marks in their LLB degree are eligible for CLAT PG.

SC/ST/PwD candidates are given a relaxation of 5% marks in minimum score requirements in their qualifying exam.

There is no age limit for appearing in the CLAT 2025 exam.
CLAT 2025 exam details
CLAT is conducted in offline, pen and paper format. The exam is held in over 130 cities across the country. A total of 120 questions are asked in the examination. The CLAT syllabus covers subjects such as the English language, current affairs including general knowledge, legal reasoning, logical reasoning and quantitative techniques. The CLAT PG syllabus comprises topics like constitutional law, administrative law, law of torts, jurisprudence, company law, tax law, international law etc.
