As campus placements in engineering colleges – even IITs and NITs – dip, off-campus hiring, with more intense competition but lower salaries, is on the rise.
Ashoka University students received average salary package of Rs 10.7 lakh. Mckinsey & Company, Ernst & Young, Deloitte among recruiters.
3 NIT Rourkela students secured over 30 lakh annual salary packages. Core sector emerged as top recruiter among 342 firms.
BHU Placement Drive 2024: The average salary package offered during the placement drive was Rs 11.1 lakh per annum.
LPU Placements: Students from the architecture and MBA programmes received packages of Rs 31.69 lakh and Rs 29.3 lakh, respectively.
BIMTECH Placements: BFSI is the top recruiting sector and average salary package stands at Rs 11.10 LPA.
Hyderabad University Placements: MTech-IT graduate Chinmayee Mohapatra grabbed a software engineer role at ServiceNow.
IIT Placements 2024: Among the registered students IIT Kanpur placements, 1,045 students got placed, whereas 372 students did not get a job offer, as of May 17.
