CSIR hikes JRF, SRF, other research fellowship stipends

CSIR-HRDG has approved hike in stipends for JRF-NET, JRF-GATE, SPMF, SRF, postdoctoral research, and other fellowships.
NEW DELHI: The Human Resource Development Group, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-HRDG) has approved the hike in fellowship stipends for various fellowships. The revised fellowships will be effective from January 1, 2023.
“The competent authority has accorded approval for enhancement of fellowships/associateships,” read an office memorandum.

For the JRF candidates who qualify through the National Eligibility Test, CSIR-NET, the amount has been increased from Rs 31,000 to 37,000 for the first two years and from 35,000 to 42,000 after two years.
The revised amounts under various fellowships offered by CSIR are as follows:
