CTET 2026 Gate Closing Details

• Morning Shift (Paper II – Classes 6 to 8):

The CTET 2026 examination is offered in 20 different Indian languages to accommodate candidates from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Although the core question paper is available in English and Hindi, candidates are required to choose two separate languages from the prescribed list for the Language I and Language II sections at the time of application.

The languages provided for the exam are English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Garo, Gujarati, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Tibetan, and Urdu.

A score of 82 out of 150 (55%) is enough to pass the CTET exam for reserved category candidates (OBC, SC, ST, and PwD). For General/UR category candidates, you need at least 90 marks (60%) to qualify.

The CTET 2026 examination for the February session will be conducted across 136 cities nationwide. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CBSE CTET 2026 exam in offline (pen-and-paper) mode on February 7 and 8, 2026.
