The CUET 2023 result was declared more than 55 days after the commencement of the exam. The computer-based CUET UG 2023 was conducted by NTA in nine different phases between May 21 and July 5, 2023 for 28 lakh students across the country. Even in its second edition, the CUET 2023 was marred with technical glitches causing students to miss the exam. Among the absentees, 1,82,156 were female, 2,01,619 male and three third gender candidates.
The first phase of CUET UG 2023 overall recorded 69.3 percent attendance , according to the data shared by University Grants Commission chairman Jagadesh Kumar. On the first day, 76 percent of registered students showed up to write the test.
Several students had allegedly missed writing the exam as the exam centre allotted to them was far away or received the admit card late. Students were allotted CUET exam centres as far as 600 km from the place of preference for several candidates, especially in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand.
