DEE Assam Teacher Recruitment 2023: Registration for 5,500 posts ends today

NEW DELHI: Director of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam will close the registration process for teacher recruitment 2023 today, February 2, 2024. Interested candidates can apply for DEE Assam teacher recruitment 2023 through the official website of DEE, Assam at dee.assam.gov.in.

The recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 5,500 posts of teachers in the department. Of which, 1,750 vacancies are for assistant teacher, science teacher and Hindi teacher in upper primary schools, and 3,800 vacancies are for the assistant teacher post in lower primary schools.

Interested candidates should be the permanent residents of Assam, qualified in Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Apart from this, either language 1 or 2 of both ATET and CTET shall match the medium of instruction of the school for which the candidate wishes to apply.

A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for unreserved category, while the maximum age limit is 43 years for OBC and 45 years for SC, ST and 50 years for PwD candidates.

Teachers currently employed in LP Schools under DEE, Assam are not eligible to apply for any positions in LP Schools.

The Assam government has announced that will be 3% reservation for Tea Tribes and Adivasi Communities within the existing 27% quota for OBC/MOBC communities in the teacher recruitment drive.
