Delhi Annual School Calendar 2024: DoE announces nursery-Class 12 admission schedule, holidays

Delhi Class 10-12 admission registration 2024 will begin from April 18 and conclude on April 29. List of holidays in Delhi schools for the academic year 2024-25.
NEW DELHI: The Directorate of School Education, Government of Delhi has notified the annual school calendar for the academic year 2024-25 for all government and government-aided schools in the national capital. The next academic session will begin from April 1, 2025, the DoE said.
The Delhi school annual calendar 2024-25 was prepared after the Delhi education department discussed the modalities of the admission process for the 2024-25 on February 1 with all the deputy directors of education and municipal corporation of Delhi (MCD).
The DoE last year in November directed all schools in the national capital to mandatorily observe a minimum of 220 working days in an academic year. It also instructed all head of schools to ensure that the 220 working days are completed prior to announcing holidays and academic sessions.
As per the Delhi school holidays 2024, the summer vacation will begin from May 11 to June 30, the autumn break will start from October 9 to 11 and winter vacations from January 1 to 15, 2025. However, June 28 to 30, 2024 will be working days for teachers, it said.
Delhi nursery admission schedule 2024
The directorate of education has notified the admission schedule for nursery to Class 12. The application process for Delhi nursery admission 2024 and KG, Class 1 will be closed on March 15. The draw of lots for entry-level classes will be done on March 21 and the declaration of results and waiting list will be done on the next day, March 22.

The schools will start admission against vacant seats on a first come first serve basis from April 22.

Delhi Class 6 to 9 admission 2024
The ‘plan admission’ will take place between April 1 to May 10 and the ‘non-plan admission’ will be held in three cycles. The registration process will also be held in three phases. The heads of schools are directed to send the applications received between July 20 to 26 for admission to Class 9 to the concerned DDE (Zone) before July 27 after verification of documents. Admission under RTE Act to classes 6 to 8 will continue throughout the year at HOS level. The schedule for non-plan admission to Class 6 to 9 is given below.

Delhi Class 10 to 12 admission 2024
Here’s the non-plan admission for Class 10 to 12 for the academic year 2024-25. Class 11 admission 2024 on the other hand will commence after the declaration of Class 10 results 2023-24.
