Zonal authorities will verify documents from April 9–22, and Delhi School EWS admissions will run from April 9 to May 20.
The Directorate of Education (DoE), Government of NCT of Delhi, has released the Delhi school Economically Weaker Section (EWS) result. The first computerized draw of lots for admissions through EWS, DG, and CWSN categories is now available for the academic year 2026-27. Through this draw, the students get admission in private unaided recognized schools.
DoE has also released guidelines that the selected candidates will have to follow to go ahead with document verification and admission. The candidates are advised to keep a check on their registered mobile numbers to receive information about the verification centers where they will have to report.

How is document scrutiny conducted?
The scrutiny will be done by the 29 zonal teams that have been constituted under the supervision of District Deputy Directors of Education across 15 districts. The team consists of zonal DDE, a section officer, and two data entry operators. They will be well versed in the provisions of the RTE Act and verification will be done only on the basis of information provided by the candidates.
Candidates will have to upload mandatory documents on the online portal, including proof of date of birth, income certificate, ration card for EWS category, caste certificate for DG category, disability certificate for CWSN applicants, and proof of residence. As per the schedule, the scrutiny will be done between April 9 and 22. The admissions in allotted schools will take place between April 9 and May 20.
In case of any discrepancies, candidates will be issued a deficiency memo and given time to submit valid documents by May 2. Candidates who did not report earlier, will have a final chance to appear for verification between April 23 and April 28. After verification, the zonal authority will issue a reasoned order. Candidates will have the option to appeal before the District Admission Monitoring Committee between May 7 and May 12. If seats remain vacant, additional admission draws will be conducted as necessary.
