Several Delhi schools receive bomb threat; mid-term exams postponed at DPS Dwarka

Delhi: Several schools including DPS Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, received a bomb threat, and the premises were evacuated immediately.
Several schools in Delhi including DPS Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, received a bomb threat today, September 20. DPS Dwarka has also postponed the exam scheduled for today, and the fresh dates will be announced shortly.
All the school buses, private vans, and cabs were sent immediately. Parents of private commuters were requested to pick up their children from the DPS Dwarka and their designated spot for pick up.
The school premises were evacuated immediately, and police, bomb disposal units, and fire personnel conducted searches.
"Kindly note that the school will remain closed today due to unavoidable circumstances. All school buses and private vans/ cabs are being sent back immediately. Parents are requested to kindly be there at the stops to pick up their wards," the official DPS Dwarka notice reads.
Search operations at affected schools
"We are thoroughly checking the campuses. Nothing suspicious has been found yet," a senior police officer said, adding that search operations were continuing at the affected schools. Additionally, authorities are probing the source of the threats and whether they were part of a coordinated attempt just to create panic.
According to the official DPS Dwarka notice, the mid-term exams scheduled for the day have also been postponed, and fresh dates will be intimated shortly.
Earlier in August, DPS Dwarka received a bomb threat call, and the authorities were prompted to evacuate the school premises immediately, causing panic among students and school staff.
