Delhi University’s Asia University Ranking 2024 improves; placed in 201-250 band

Download NowNEW DELHI: University of Delhi’s Times Higher Education's Asia University Rankings improves this year. DU has been ranked in the 201-250 band in the Asia University Rankings 2024. Congratulating everyone associated with the university, the DU vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh said: “DU is continuously improving its ranking. This includes the contribution of all faculty, officers, officials and students.”

The university was placed in the 301-350 band last year and this year the rankings have improved significantly. The DU VC said that the university has improved in three out of five broad performance indicators, including research quality, which looks at the university's role in spreading new knowledge and ideas; industry, which assess the university's ability to help the industry with innovations, inventions and consultancy; and international outlook, which rate the ability of a university to attract undergraduates, postgraduates, research scholars, faculty and research collaborations from all around the globe.
Asia University Rankings 2024 use the same 18 performance indicators as the THE World University Rankings. The ranks are allotted based on the five factors - teaching, research, industry, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
Based on these factors, the university was awarded 49.6 points under research quality, 40.5 under industry, 23.3 under international outlook, 28.1 under research environment, and 45.8 points under teaching factor.
Moreover, Delhi University has been ranked 801-1,000 band in the World University Ranking 2024.
