DTU launches executive education courses in clean energy, corporate sustainability for working professionals

The Delhi Technological University (DTU) has launched two executive education programmes in clean energy and corporate sustainability for working professionals. The six-month programmes will consist of live online classes on Sundays, a three-day campus immersion, six academic modules, and a capstone project.

The executive education programmes will be delivered in collaboration with VCnow. The technological university , through its Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL), inaugurated the first batch of the advanced programme in renewable and sustainable energy management.

It also conducted the academic orientation for another flagship programme - the Leadership Programme in CSR, Energy and Corporate Sustainability (LPCECS).

Executive education courses align with NEP 2020: DTU VC

Students in the clean energy programme will have access to the DTU's Nodal Centre of Excellence in Energy Transition (NCEET), housing the high-tech Yogi Goswami Clean Energy Laboratory, according to an official notification.

The first batch also includes participants from India, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.

Prateek Sharma, vice-chancellor, DTU, highlighted the university’s academic heritage and research ecosystem, emphasizing the critical value of lifelong learning and the academic credits associated with these executive courses to build expertise in the rapidly evolving renewable sector, the notification read.

“These programmes stand as a commendable effort towards advancing the goals of the Government of India's National Education Policy (NEP) and contributing meaningfully to the vision of Viksit Bharat Abhiyan,” Sharma said.

The founder directors of VCnow, said: “There couldn't have been a better time to pursue these programmes, especially in view of the global energy and sustainability crisis. The transition to clean energy and corporate sustainability extends far beyond environmental stewardship—it serves as a cornerstone for national security, geopolitical stability, and long-term economic resilience.”

A DTU’s senior faculty and programme director said that the rigorous curriculum, attendance standards, and professional expectations governing these executive offerings marks its discipline.
