DU UG Admissions 2025: Over 62,000 candidates confirm seats in round 1; vacant seat list for round 2 out

In the first round of DU UG admissions 2025, more female candidates have confirmed their seats than male candidates. The university has also admitted 143 orphan students and 949 under the single girl child category.

The University of Delhi (DU) has issued the vacant seat list for the second round of undergraduate (UG) admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2025-26 today, July 24. The DU UG vacant seat list 2025 is available on the university’s official website at admission.uod.ac.in.

As per the data shared by the university, a total of 62,565 candidates have confirmed their admission in DU UG round 1 counselling 2025 . This includes 34,014 female candidates and 28,551 male candidates. Among the admitted students, 143 are orphans—77 females and 66 males. The university has also admitted 949 candidates under the single girl child category.

Of the total admissions, 16,126 candidates have frozen their seats. Meanwhile, 43,741 candidates have opted for an upgrade. The upgrade window is currently active as per the notified schedule. Candidates who have already secured admission can reorder their preferences for a higher choice of programme and college on July 25, 2025.

The DU UG round 2 CSAS allocation list will be issued on July 28. Candidates allotted seats in DU UG round 2 will have to “accept” the allocation online between July 28 and July 30, 2025. Following this, colleges will verify and approve the online applications between July 28 and July 31, 2025. The last date for candidates to complete the online payment of admission fees is August 1, 2025.

The DU has published the list of vacant seats for round 2 of undergraduate admissions under CSAS 2025. Several top colleges, including Hindu College, Miranda House, Kirori Mal College, and Shri Ram College of Commerce, have reported vacancies across popular programmes. From the table below, candidates can check the available seats category-wise for each course.
