FMGE EC 2025: Indian citizens holding MBBS degrees from foreign universities, and seeking to practice medicine in India are required to appear for the FMGE screening test.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) will close the application window for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) Eligibility Certificate (EC) 2025 today at 6 pm. Indian nationals looking forward to practising medicine in India can apply for the FMGE EC 2025 through the official website at nmc.org.in.

Indian citizens holding MBBS degrees from foreign universities, and seeking to practice medicine in India are required to appear for the FMGE screening test.
The eligibility certificate is mandatory for candidates intending to appear in the FMGE, according to the official notice. The NMC has not yet announced the exam dates for the FMGE screening test. It will be announced soon, as per various media reports.
Candidates having issues or need clarification regarding their EC application can reach out to the NMC through their official emails such as eligibility.regn@nmc.org.in, and eligibility@nmc.org.in.
The screening test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) who have obtained medical degrees from foreign institutions, and seeking to get a license to practice medicine in India.

In case of gross difference in the appearance of the candidate in real time photograph and uploaded one, the application will be rejected, the NMC guideline says.
