GATE 2025: IIT Delhi begins registration for MTech admissions

Try NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has commenced the registration process for MTech admissions 2025. The IIT Delhi MTech admission 2025 registration deadline is April 7, 4 pm. As per IIT Delhi MTech admission 2025 schedule, shortlisted candidates will be appearing for interviews from May 14 to June 16.

JEE Advanced 2025: College Predictor
As per IIT Delhi MTech admission 2025 schedule, the orientation is scheduled for July 19, followed by the registration process from July 19 to July 20. IIT Delhi MTech 2025 classes will commence on July 24. Selected candidates for full-time IIT Delhi MTech programmes will be able to accept their offers through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).
IIT Delhi MTech Admission 2025: Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for MTech programmes are required to meet the minimum qualifying degree performance and GATE cutoff specified for respective programmes. Final-year students expecting to complete their degrees by the third week of July 2025 are also eligible to apply for IIT Delhi MTech courses 2025. Their selection will be provisional, subject to meeting the final eligibility criteria upon the announcement of their results.
Qualifying degree and marks requirement
Applicants are required to hold a BTech or BE degree with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6 for the General category. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with disabilities (PwD) candidates, the minimum requirement is 55% or a 5.5 CGPA.
Exemption from GATE 2025
IIT Delhi
MTech admission is primarily based on
GATE 2025 scores
. However, IIT BTech graduates with a CGPA of 8 or above are exempt from GATE and will be directly considered for interviews via videoconferencing.
IIT Delhi MTech programme duration
The IIT Delhi MTech and MS.(Research) programmes have a minimum duration of four semesters (24 months) for full-time students. Part-time programmes, including MTech (High value assistantship), extend over six semesters (36 months).
