Global Association of Forensic Accountants launches certification course in financial crime investigation

NEW DELHI: Global Association of Forensic Accountants (GAFA) has launched a certification programme in financial crime investigation. GAFA, a governing body of certification courses based in New Delhi, specialises in disciplines such as fraud investigation, cyber security, forensic accounting, anti-money laundering, artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology.

GAFA certification courses focus on Indian cyber laws, Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and other relevant legislation pertaining to fraud prevention and anti-money laundering measures. The certification programme in financial crime investigation is customised to cater to corporate entities, financial institutions, industries, and individuals aspiring to pursue careers in the realm of financial crime prevention. GAFA said it is dedicated to advancing the field of financial crime investigation through rigorous education, training, and certification programmes.

Kanwaljeet Kaur Soni, a forensic auditor, has been appointed GAFA president. With her vast experience and leadership, Soni is committed to driving GAFA's mission of promoting excellence and integrity in financial crime detection and mitigation, GAFA said.
