Haryana school timings revised for academic session 2024-25; winter schedule applicable from November 15

Haryana School Timing Change: Single-shift schools will operate from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm in winter.
NEW DELHI: The Haryana Directorate of School Education has announced changes in school timings for the 2024-25 academic year, affecting both single-shift and double-shift schools across the state. These new timings will be implemented based on seasonal changes.
On the social media platform X, Haryana’s chief minister posted, "Instructions for changing school timings for the 2024-25 session in Haryana have been issued. Single-shift schools will operate from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm in winter. For double-shift schools (until February 15, 2025), the first shift will run from 7:55 am to 12:30 pm, and the second shift will be from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm."

Haryana Schools: New timings
According to the official notification, starting from November 12, 2024, schools operating in the second shift of double shifts will adopt temporary winter hours, with classes running from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm. The revised timings specified in table 2 will come into effect in the 2025–26 academic session.
The official notification read, "For the second shift of double shift schools, the winter timings are to be changed from 12 November 2024 (Tuesday) in the current session 2024-25, which will be from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm. Whereas from the next session (2025-26), the change will be made as per the details given in Table 2 above, i.e. the winter time period for double shift (2nd Shift) will be from 15 October to 15 February."
