NEW DELHI: With just 10 days left for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 session 1 exam, students must take as many mock tests as they can and focus on time management, according to the experts. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the JEE Mains 2025 paper 1 on January 22.

This year, the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern has undergone a major change with discontinuation of optional questions in section B. Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2025 exam will be required to attempt all five questions instead of choosing from 10.

JEE Main 2025 question paper will comprise three sections – physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Each section will carry 100 marks.

JEE Main 2025 Preparation: 10 days strategy

Here’re some tips and strategies by various coaching experts on JEE Main 2025 preparation in 10 days:

  • Set daily goals: Plan your day with specific targets for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Allocate time for each subject based on strengths and weaknesses, giving more time to challenging subjects or topics while maintaining consistent practice in stronger areas. Divide your day into subject-specific study slots and ensure every subject gets adequate attention.
  • Prioritise high-weightage topics: Identify topics that frequently appear in the exam and carry more marks. Focus on Calculus, Algebra, Mechanics, and Organic Chemistry. Spend more time mastering these to maximise your score potential.
  • Take mock tests and analyse: Attempt at least six full-length tests in a real exam environment. Set aside three hours for each test to simulate the actual exam conditions. After each test, spend time analyzing your performance: identify mistakes, conceptual gaps, and time-consuming questions. Use these insights to revise weak areas and refine your approach.
  • Revise: Instead of starting new topics, focus on revising the chapters.
  • Use the pomodoro technique: Study in focused 25-minute sessions followed by a five-minute break. After four cycles, take a longer 15-minute break. This method boosts concentration and prevents burnout.
  • Relax and engage in extra-curricular activities: To sustain focus and energy, take regular breaks between study sessions. Incorporate at least 45 minutes of physical activity daily, whether it’s playing a sport, jogging, or yoga. Physical activity rejuvenates your mind and body. Light music during study sessions or breaks can also help you relax and stay motivated. Avoid prolonged, unstructured study hours that can lead to exhaustion.
  • Exam-day strategy: During the exam, attempt easy and moderate questions first, leaving time-consuming ones for later to optimize accuracy and score.

JEE Main 2025 10 days study plan: Another approach

A different approach to studying for JEE Mains 2025, as per an expert, is given below.

  • Split your day into two productive halves:
  • Morning Session (6 AM to 2 PM): Start your day early with a 7-hour study window, including short breaks. Focus on high-priority topics when your mind is fresh.
  • Afternoon Break (2 PM to 3:30 PM): Have a light lunch, include fruits for energy, and take a power nap to recharge for the next session.
  • Evening Session (3:30 PM to 11:30 PM): Dedicate another 7 hours with breaks for effective evening study. Use this session for solving problems or revising concepts.
  • Have dinner by 7:30–8 PM to avoid drowsiness during late-night study. Consistent hydration and a healthy diet are crucial for maintaining focus. Use short breaks for light activities or mindfulness exercises.
